 Account Manager
Reports To President Description The account managers is responsible for managing all the sales and account relationship aspects for Tech3. They are responsible for creating and maintaining new customer accounts. Responsibilities • Generate new business by creating leads and following industry trends. • Network with small, medium, and large businesses to analyze their needs and offer tailored solutions for them. • Identify opportunities to market IT services and hardware, as well as demonstrate product or services knowledge to answer any questions from prospective customers. • Maintain accurate records of interactions with prospect clients, as well as completed sale orders and contracts. • Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential. • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers. • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints. • Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups. • Analyze the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the organization. • Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment. • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. • Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas. • Participate in trade shows and conventions. Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification • University degree or equivalent experience. Knowledge & Experience • 1-2 years+ sales experience required. • Previous tactical and strategic experience to get new accounts and provide value to existing customers. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver under strict deadlines. • Experience of working with and presenting to senior executives preferred. • Excellent presentation skills. • Ability to form trusting relationships quickly. • Experience managing a team. Personal Attributes • Must be results oriented and provide the best account experience for the clients. • Strong leadership skills. • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
